About Us

Elks Lodge, Celebration of life for Kellie's son — photo 1

On N Clark Street in Powell, Wyoming, the Elks Lodge has long been the kind of place where strangers leave as neighbors. It is the hall where benefit auctions raise thousands for families facing impossible medical bills, where a kind stranger helps you fill out paperwork without being asked, and where the community shows up when showing up is all that matters. That spirit is exactly why Kellie chose this place to honor her son.

A Celebration of Life here is not a formal affair held in silence. It is a gathering of people who loved someone, surrounded by others who understand what that means. The Lodge's warm, familiar rooms hold space for laughter and tears in equal measure, for shared stories, and for the kind of comfort that only comes from being around your people.

With a 4.3-star rating from its members and guests, Powell Elks Lodge has earned its reputation as a true community anchor. Tonight, that community gathers for one of the most personal reasons of all.

What We Offer

The Lodge provides a welcoming, flexible venue for Celebrations of Life, benefit events, and community gatherings. The space accommodates both intimate family circles and larger crowds, with room to set up memorial displays, photo tributes, and buffet tables that let guests linger and connect.

A full bar is on-site, staffed by Lodge members who understand the role a warm room and a cold drink play on a hard day. The Lodge community also brings practical support, helping with setup, seating, and the small logistical details that families should not have to think about when they are grieving.

For events like Kellie's gathering, the Lodge leans on what it does best: creating a space where Powell neighbors come together, pool their generosity, and remind a family that they are not alone.

"I enjoyed coming here. Met a very nice bartender. Met very nice customer's. Everyone was polite and nice to me. A very nice young lady helped me fill out some paperwork that I was having problems with and no she wasn't after anything special like money or a free drink. Just being helpful. Thank you"
